Born, Sept. 19, 1967, in Flint, Michigan without a right hand. His has been a legendary career. He was an All-America hurler at Michigan; member of the U.S. Olympic baseball team, Abbott pitched a complete game leading the United States to a gold medal victory over Japan; won Sullivan Award in 1987; threw 4-0 no-hitter for NY Yankees vs. Cleveland (Sept. 4, 1993). Jim played for 10 seasons on 4 different teams and ended his big league playing career in 1999.

Who is Lilly Walters? Lilly Walters manages Jim Abbott one handed baseball pitcher for the Angels and the Yankees speaking calendar. In addition, she is a leading consultant to help professional, public, motivational, business speakers, lecturers speakers, trainer, and seminar leaders increase their income and their presentation skills in public speaking, a decorative faux artist specializing in creating cobblestones on cement floors, glass jars and mail boxes, and an expert on one hand typing.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Criminology, Craig Gavras worked for the State of Oklahoma for five years as a State Law Enforcement Officer before joining a major metropolitan police department. As a rookie officer, Craig was injured in the line of duty. As a result of this accident, his right leg was amputated above the knee in December of 1994.

In 1976, Donna R. Walton's life was transformed when she was diagnosed with a life-threatening form of bone cancer called osteogenic sarcoma. At the age of 18, the young college student - an aspiring performer - received the crushing news that she had to sacrifice her left leg above the knee to prevent the cancer from spreading. She feared her fate was sealed. But since losing her leg over 25 years ago, Dr. Walton has attained personal and professional success - having triumphed over her fears of deficiency to discover her assets within and her power to thrive.

My name is Deb Schiel. The new millennium dealt me a diagnosis of a rare cancer. Synovial Cell Sarcoma. In order to stop the tumor from spreading to my lungs, I needed to have my leg amputated above the knee.
